Jesus Christ Is The Messiah

Jesus Christ is the Messiah

Jesus is salvation from the Father's outstretched arm. He is the Son of God and the Son of Man. He is Immanuel- God with us. The very meaning of the name, Immanuel shows that Jesus Christ is deity.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (KJV)

Jesus' birth fulfilled countless prophecies. There is no need to look further than Jesus Christ for the Messiah.

If you are still searching for or waiting for the Messiah, there is no need to continue looking, Jesus fulfilled these prophecies concerning the coming Messiah:

  • He is a descendent of Abraham
  • He is a descendent of Isaac
  • He is a descendent of Jacob
  • He descended from the tribe of Judah
  • He was born in Bethlehem
  • He was born of a virgin
  • Infants were slaughtered
  • He escaped to Egypt as a child
  • He ministered in Galilee and along the Jordan River
  • The Jewish people rejected him
  • He had the character of wisdom and understanding
  • His triumphant entry on a donkey in Jerusalem was prophesied to the day
  • A close friend betrayed him
  • He was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver
  • The money was returned and used to buy the potters field
  • He was silent during His trial
  • He suffered for others
  • He was crucified with sinners
  • His feet and hands were pierced by nails
  • He was mocked and insulted by the very people he came to save
  • He was given gall and vinegar to drink
  • His side was pierced with a spear
  • Soldiers cast lots for His clothes
  • None of His bones were broken
  • He was buried in a rich man's tomb
  • He resurrected after His death
  • He ascended into heaven

Jesus was born so that all nations and all peoples might be saved. He is salvation in human form. His sacrifice upon the cross did away with the blood of lambs, calves, and goats once and for all. From the time Adam and Eve fell, all mankind was slave to sin, death, and the grave. Man could only enter into a relationship with God the Father through the righteous acts of the law.

I pray that if you are not right with God, that you will ask God to forgive you of your sins. He is a loving God and if you believe that God sent His only Son to earth to die for you so that you might have eternal life and believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again 3 days later, you can have that free gift that God is offering to all of us. Read your Bible which is Gods Word, find a church that is a true Bible believing church. I recommend a good Pentecostal church.

I remember when I first started going to church I was not comfortable there. That is because sin is not comfortable in the sight of God. Once I had been there a couple of weeks and I asked God to forgive me of a life full of sin, I became very comfortable and in fact now I can't wait for Sunday mornings and Wednesday evening Bible Study.

May God bless each of you that read this blog. In Jesus Holy Name I pray. Amen.

The Holy Trinity Explained, God, Jesus & The Holy Spirit

The Holy Trinity is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all God. See the image to the left.

God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Spirit.
Scripture tells us that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 4:35; Isaiah 45:5; 46:9).

The Bible also refers to three distinct persons as "God":
God the Father (Galatians 1:1),Jesus Christ His Son (John 1:1; 20:28)and the Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3,4).The Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are Three distinct Persons in One God. This is the truth which God was conveying through Scripture, a truth which Christians later labled "The Trinity" (literally "tri-unity" meaning three in unity as one).

Though each Person is distinct from the other two, they do not act separately. What the Father does, the Son and Holy Spirit do as well. The Godhead acts as one. Christians are called to have a personal relationship with God. It is important for each one of us to know the One Whom we worship and love.

The truth that God is "Three-in-One" also shows us that there is a "Community of Love" within the Godhead. God is a "Family", so to speak; a Father and a Son bound together by an Eternal Love which is a Third Person, the Holy Spirit.

The doctrine of the Trinity helps us to understand how God gives us a share in His own Divine Life. The Father sent the Son, Who became flesh, Jesus took on our human nature. Jesus loved His Father so much that He wanted God the Father to be loved by us, and He wanted us to be loved by His Father. So Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified a horrible death so that His pure sinless blood would be shed on a cross so that we can become His brothers and sisters, and sons and daughters of God.

Once we confess that Jesus Christ is our Savior, the Holy Spirit, becomes present in our souls. The Spirit causes us to proclaim that Jesus is Lord (I Corinthians 12:3)
"... God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, "Abba Father". Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. . . . (Galatians 4:4b-7).

If you cannot make a donation to this worthy cause, please at least pray for them. Let me give you a little history of missionaries and Christianity in India.

Missionaries and Christians are beaten, jailed, brutalized and murdered because of their faith. India is a very dangerous place for Christians, yet our strong and faithful missionaries keep on spreading the Word and the Good News of Jesus Christ. They are there harvesting souls for the Kingdom of God at their own peril.

Did you know that baby girls are not valued in India? Many women choose to abort female fetuses. Female infanticide is rampant in India. Females in these societies are of little value. Those that do not abort their female babies, kill them. Some female babies were fed dry, unhulled rice that punctured their windpipes, or were made to swallow poisonous powdered fertilizer. Others were smothered with a wet towel, strangled or allowed to starve to death.

The bias against females in India is related to the fact that "Sons are called upon to provide the income; they are the ones who do most of the work in the fields. In this way sons are looked to as a type of insurance. With this perspective, it becomes clearer that the high value given to males decreases the value given to females." The problem is also intimately tied to the institution of dowry in which the family of a prospective bride must pay enormous sums of money to the family in which the woman will live after marriage. Though formally outlawed, the institution is still pervasive. "The combination of dowry and wedding expenses usually add up to more than a million rupees ([US] $35,000). In India the average civil servant earns about 100,000 rupees ($3,500) a year. Given these figures combined with the low status of women, it seems not so illogical that the poorer Indian families would want only male children." Murders of women whose families are deemed to have paid insufficient dowry have become increasingly common.

The missionaries are in India to spread the Gospel to this very sad part of the world. Most of the abortions, infanticide, and murders happen within the Hindu religion. Not as much with the Muslim people.

If you can help Pastor Pinto in his efforts, please pray ask the Holy Spirit for guidance. This is not a recommendation of as I do not know him personally, but he seems to be a good Christian Pastor who is trying to help children and the poor.

God bless you and again, the power of prayer is strong. Please everyone pray that the people of India will all hear about Jesus Christ and come to the Kingdom Of God, so that they will not be left behind. God blesses those countries that love and honor him. If India would have Christianity spread like wildfire, then God will surely bless them.

Jesus IS Lord!!

Wonderful Sermons by Paul Washer

Paul Washer is a missionary. Some of his sermons are available to listen to for free on our site, click the link above.

The great end of any missionary society or fellowship should not be the sending forth of missionaries, but the sending forth of God’s truth through missionaries.
It is unwise and even perilous to make missions or evangelism a rallying point for believers or congregations of diverse or undefined doctrinal viewpoints. Truth and the desire to make it known among the nations must be the uniting force.

Since missions is primarily a task of communicating God’s truth to the nations, biblical doctrine is primary. Any missionary society or agency that does not concern itself with biblical doctrine or generalizes its doctrinal statement in order to maintain fellowship with the greatest number of professing Christians (i.e., supporters) has lost its very purpose and possibly its very soul.

Welcome To The Forgiveness Diaries Blog

Everyone is welcome to post, however, no profanity, and certainly no blasphemy is allowed on this blog. Debate is welcome, but keep it clean and respectful of others.

The Forgiveness Diaries was started by me as a way to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Forgiveness for all of your sins is available, if you only ask Jesus and if you believe in Him and that He died for your sins on the cross and arose 3 days later. Say the sinners prayer, then repent of your sins and live a life FOR God. It's not really that hard.

If you have a testimony to give about the forgiveness you have received, or if you have questions, want to know more about Jesus Christ and how you can have Him as YOUR personal Lord and Saviour, please ask.

God bless and keep every one of you.

This blog is dedicated to Jesus Christ, the ONLY way to the Father (God).
